Samsung Malaysia has partnered with the Iskandar Puteri Command and Control Centre (IPCCC) to deploy Malaysia’s longest Samsung The Wall, a massive 19.35-metre visual system designed to strengthen real-time city monitoring, coordination and emergency response capabilities.

The installation marks another step forward in advancing smart city infrastructure in Malaysia, enabling authorities to make faster, clearer and more connected decisions across public safety and urban operations.

“Command and control centres play a critical role in helping city authorities respond effectively to complex, real-time situations,” said Charles Kim. “At IPCCC, our focus was to support the government in delivering a visual system that enables information to be viewed clearly, understood quickly, and acted on with confidence. By enhancing visibility and situational awareness, teams are able to operate more efficiently and make informed decisions that ultimately benefit the public,” he added.

Located in Johor, IPCCC functions as a centralised operations hub where authorities manage real-time security surveillance, traffic management, environmental monitoring and coordinated incident responses.

By consolidating multiple data streams into a single integrated system, IPCCC enables stronger inter-agency coordination, faster response times and more efficient city management, helping improve the overall quality of life for communities in and around Iskandar Puteri.

The project, first conceptualised in 2023, forms part of the city council’s broader smart city initiatives aligned with Malaysia’s Smart City Framework under the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT), which focuses on smarter data-driven governance, urban resilience and enhanced public safety.

At the centre of the command hub is Samsung The Wall, designed specifically for mission-critical environments requiring high-resolution clarity, seamless visuals and uninterrupted monitoring across multiple live data feeds.

The display allows IPCCC personnel to simultaneously monitor real-time security, traffic and environmental conditions with improved situational awareness while reducing visual fatigue during long operational hours.

Measuring 19.35 metres in length and 2.7 metres in height, the display uses ultra-fine microLED technology to deliver exceptional colour accuracy, deep contrast and bezel-free visual consistency across the entire screen.

This enables operators to process complex information more efficiently and respond with greater precision during high-pressure situations.

The collaboration also builds on Samsung’s ongoing involvement in smart city infrastructure projects across Malaysia. Samsung’s Smart Signage solutions have previously been deployed by multiple city councils nationwide, including a Samsung LED installation at Perbadanan Putrajaya in 2018.

Following the success of earlier deployments, Samsung worked closely with stakeholders to tailor a purpose-built visual solution that meets the operational demands of a modern command and control centre.

Through this deployment, Samsung continues supporting Malaysian government agencies in strengthening smart governance, improving operational efficiency and enhancing public safety through connected digital infrastructure.
