NESCAFÉ Gives Malaysia’s Healthcare Frontliners a Much-Needed Recharge After 30 Hours of Service
August 19, 2026When most of us are asleep, Malaysia’s healthcare frontliners are still working, caring and showing up for those who need them. NESCAFÉ is recognising that dedication with a simple but meaningful gesture — a cup of coffee and a well-deserved moment to recharge.
Through its “NGOPI Dulu & Kekal Bersemangat Bersama” (“Have a NESCAFÉ First to Uplift Spirits”) campaign, NESCAFÉ launched a 30-hour nonstop recharge initiative at Hospital Pakar Universiti Sains Malaysia (HPUSM) in Kubang Kerian, Kelantan, dedicated to healthcare professionals working tirelessly behind the scenes.
30 Hours, More Than 30,000 Cups Served
Running from 6 am on 10 August until 12 pm on 11 August, NESCAFÉ set up recharge stations across key staff areas at HPUSM, allowing healthcare professionals to take a short break and enjoy a cup of coffee during their demanding shifts.
Over the 30-hour initiative, more than 30,000 servings of NESCAFÉ Classic, NESCAFÉ 3-in-1 and Ready-To-Drink cans were served.
But this was about more than simply handing out coffee.
For the doctors, nurses, medical staff and other healthcare professionals working around the clock, each cup represented a small moment to pause, recharge and feel appreciated.
A Cup of Coffee for Those Who Keep Malaysia Moving
Healthcare workers face long hours, demanding responsibilities and moments when fatigue can be difficult to overcome. NESCAFÉ wanted to recognise the resilience and commitment required to keep going — especially during the quiet hours when most people have already called it a night.
“At NESCAFÉ, we believe that small moments can make a meaningful difference,” said Khoo Sui Ying, Consumer Marketing Manager, Coffee, Nestlé Malaysia.
She added that the initiative was designed to be an everyday partner to healthcare professionals and inspire them to keep moving forward.
More Than Just a Coffee Break
The initiative at HPUSM is part of NESCAFÉ’s wider effort to recharge and uplift Malaysians nationwide, using coffee as a simple way to create meaningful connections.
Sometimes, it does not take much to make someone’s day a little better — a warm cup of coffee, a short break and a simple “thank you” can go a long way.
For Malaysia’s healthcare frontliners, who continue to care for others even when they are exhausted themselves, NESCAFÉ’s 30-hour initiative offered exactly that: a moment to stop, recharge and know that their efforts are seen and appreciated.
Because behind every long shift is someone who keeps showing up.
And sometimes, a little NESCAFÉ is all it takes to keep the spirit going.
