Wyeth Nutrition S-26 GOLD PROGRESS Celebrates Over 50 Years of Brain Research
July 3, 2026Parents visiting the TCE Baby Expo can discover how brain science helps support their children’s growth at the S-26 Gold Progress booth. The experience highlights Wyeth Nutrition’s long-standing commitment to researching children’s brain development through interactive activities, expert talks and parenting discussions.
At the heart of the booth is the Brain Visualiser, an interactive display that helps parents understand how a child’s brain develops. Through easy-to-understand visual simulations, parents can learn how brain connections are formed and why they are important for learning, thinking and responding to the world.
Wyeth Nutrition’s research has focused on how brain connections, myelination, and key nutrients such as Sphingomyelin and DHA contribute to healthy brain development. These findings have helped shape the S-26 Gold Progress formula, which is designed to support children’s ability to think quickly and learn effectively.
The company believes that building strong brain connections during early childhood lays an important foundation for future learning, problem-solving and overall development.
Speaking at the event, Ms Yeoh She Shiang, Business Executive Officer of Wyeth Nutrition Malaysia, said the Brain Visualiser helps make complex scientific concepts easier for parents to understand.
“Brain development research has advanced significantly over the years, and we want parents to see how these discoveries relate to their own children. The Brain Visualiser brings brain science to life simply and engagingly,” she said.
Another highlight of the event is an educational sharing session by Consultant Paediatrician Dr Ryan Ng, who explains why early childhood is one of the most important stages of brain development.
During the session, parents learn how the brain grows, how myelination helps the brain process information more efficiently, and why simple daily activities such as talking, reading, playing and exploring together are essential in building strong brain connections. Dr Ryan also discusses executive function, which includes skills that help children focus, solve problems, adapt to new situations and manage their behaviour.
He emphasised that brain development is influenced by a combination of proper nutrition, a stimulating environment and meaningful daily interactions.
“Parents often think major milestones define a child’s development, but it’s the small everyday moments that have a lasting impact. Spending quality time talking, reading and playing together helps strengthen brain connections that support learning and development,” he said.
Adding a personal touch to the programme, parenting influencers Karen Kho and Yee Fei share their own experiences of raising children in today’s fast-changing world. Their discussion focuses on overcoming parenting challenges, recognising every child’s unique strengths and making informed decisions while supporting healthy development.
Through these real-life stories, parents gain practical insights and reassurance that simple daily habits can make a meaningful difference in a child’s growth.
Backed by decades of brain research, Wyeth Nutrition continues to develop science-based nutritional innovations while providing parents with trusted knowledge and educational experiences. The company remains committed to helping families build strong foundations that support children’s learning, confidence and future potential.
Parents attending the TCE Baby Expo are invited to visit the S-26 Gold Progress booth to explore the Brain Visualiser, hear from child development experts and learn practical ways to support their children’s brain development through nutrition and everyday interactions.
