Samsung Electronics has officially introduced the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9, its latest generation of smartwatches designed to deliver a more intelligent and personalised health experience powered by Galaxy AI.

The new Galaxy Watch lineup focuses on making health tracking effortless by providing meaningful insights through continuous monitoring. Simply wearing the smartwatch throughout the day allows users to receive personalised guidance on their wellness, fitness and overall health.

Samsung has also upgraded the hardware with a brighter display, longer battery life and improved performance, ensuring users can comfortably wear the watches throughout the day while benefiting from more accurate health monitoring.

TM Roh, President and Head of Samsung Electronics’ Device eXperience Division, said the company is committed to helping users shift from reactive healthcare to proactive wellness by integrating AI into everyday devices.

Galaxy Watch Ultra2 Built for Outdoor Adventures

Designed for outdoor enthusiasts and active lifestyles, the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is Samsung’s most advanced smartwatch to date.

The smartwatch introduces dedicated sports tracking features for activities such as trail running, providing detailed insights into elevation, climbing progress and terrain to help runners improve performance while reducing the risk of injury.

It also offers hydration guidance by estimating sweat loss during workouts, helping users better understand when to rehydrate during long-distance activities.

For water sports enthusiasts, the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is built to withstand challenging environments and supports diving activities by automatically tracking key underwater information, including depth, dive duration and water temperature. Additional diving features developed in collaboration with Mares will further enhance the diving experience.

More Powerful Hardware for Longer Performance

To support demanding outdoor activities, the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 features Samsung’s largest battery ever in a Galaxy Watch, delivering longer usage between charges.

Powered by the latest Snapdragon Wear platform, the smartwatch offers faster performance, smoother navigation and more accurate location tracking. Samsung has also equipped the watch with its brightest smartwatch display yet, making it easier to read information even under direct sunlight.

Despite the larger battery, Samsung has redesigned the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 to be slimmer and more comfortable than its predecessor. Its durable titanium casing, combined with lighter and softer watch bands, allows users to wear it comfortably throughout the day while maintaining accurate health monitoring.

Galaxy Watch9 Focuses on Everyday Wellness

For users looking for a smartwatch to support their daily health and fitness goals, the Galaxy Watch9 is designed as an all-day wellness companion.

Featuring a lightweight aluminium body and refined ergonomic design, the Galaxy Watch9 offers a comfortable fit for continuous wear, allowing it to monitor daily activities, sleep and health metrics more consistently.

The smartwatch also benefits from Samsung’s latest processor, delivering faster performance, improved battery efficiency and a bright display that remains easy to read in various lighting conditions.

AI-Powered Health Monitoring

At the heart of both smartwatches is Samsung’s latest AI-powered health platform.

Using the upgraded BioActive Sensor, the watches continuously collect biometric data to better understand users’ health and provide personalised recommendations based on their daily habits.

New health features include:

  • Vitals, which monitors changes in a user’s normal health patterns during sleep.
  • Heart Health Score, providing an easy-to-understand overview of cardiovascular wellness.
  • Daily Cardio Load, offering recommendations to balance workouts with recovery.
  • Fitness Index, helping users track overall physical fitness and set achievable goals.
  • Hearing, which alerts users to prolonged exposure to loud noise and helps protect long-term hearing health.

Together, these AI-powered tools are designed to give users a clearer understanding of their health while encouraging healthier daily habits.

Customisable Watch Bands for Every Lifestyle

Samsung is also introducing a wider range of interchangeable watch bands to suit different lifestyles.

For the Galaxy Watch Ultra2, users can choose specialised bands designed for outdoor adventures, fitness activities or everyday wear.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Watch9 offers a variety of stylish options, including sports bands, premium silicone bands and lightweight fabric straps, allowing users to personalise their smartwatch while maintaining all-day comfort.

Samsung Care+ Support

Samsung continues to offer Samsung Care+, providing additional protection for eligible Galaxy Watch users through accidental damage coverage, extended warranty and access to certified repair services.

Users can also conveniently manage their Samsung Care+ subscription, warranty information, diagnostics and repair requests through the updated Warranty and Care section on compatible Galaxy smartphones.

Availability

The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 will be available in Titanium Silver and Titanium Gray, while the Galaxy Watch9 will be offered in Cream, Graphite and Silver, depending on the selected model.

Both smartwatches are available for pre-order beginning 22 July, with official availability starting 14 August.

This latest Galaxy Watch lineup further expands Samsung’s Galaxy AI ecosystem, delivering smarter health experiences that seamlessly connect users across their Galaxy smartphones, wearables and connected devices.
