Sony Xperia 10 VIII Arrives in Malaysia with Brighter Display, Enhanced Speakers and Up to Two Days of Battery Life

Sony is bringing its latest Xperia 10 VIII to Malaysia, introducing a smartphone designed around everyday convenience, entertainment and ease of use. With improvements to its display, stereo speakers and battery performance, the new Xperia aims to deliver a more enjoyable smartphone experience for users who value practicality.

One of the key upgrades is its display, which is approximately 50% brighter than the previous model. This improvement makes it easier to view content outdoors, particularly when checking maps, reading messages or browsing under bright sunlight. The screen also automatically adjusts its colours according to ambient brightness, helping provide a more comfortable viewing experience throughout the day.

Sony has also improved the front-facing stereo speakers, offering approximately 15% higher overall volume and 30% stronger bass compared to its predecessor. Whether watching videos, listening to music or enjoying entertainment on the go, users can expect clearer and more powerful audio.

For everyday convenience, the Xperia 10 VIII introduces a new Rewards & Pay menu. By double-pressing the power button, users can quickly access frequently used payment and retail rewards applications. This one-handed shortcut makes everyday transactions easier, especially when making quick payments.

The smartphone also comes with Google’s latest AI features, including Gemini, Circle to Search and Ask Photos, bringing additional convenience to everyday tasks, information searches and photo management.

Battery life remains another important highlight. Sony claims that the Xperia 10 VIII can deliver up to two days of battery life on a single charge. Its long-life battery design is also developed to maintain battery performance even after four years of use. Under the hood, the device features 8GB RAM with up to an additional 6GB of virtual RAM, supporting smoother multitasking and app switching.

In terms of design, Sony continues with a clean and understated approach. Inspired by the concept of translucent layers, the rear panel features transparent material with a matte clear coating, creating a refined appearance while maintaining a lightweight look. The Xperia 10 VIII will be available in three colour options: Frozen White, Frosted Grey and Misty Lilac.

Users can also pair the smartphone with an optional Style Cover with Stand, which features a built-in stand supporting both portrait and landscape viewing. It offers added convenience when watching videos or enjoying content hands-free.

The Sony Xperia 10 VIII will be available in Malaysia starting 2 November 2026, with a recommended retail price of RM2,999.
