Samsung Malaysia Celebrates Galaxy Unpacked with Exclusive Live Viewing Party in Kuala Lumpur
July 25, 2026Samsung Malaysia Electronics brought the excitement of Galaxy Unpacked to Kuala Lumpur with an exclusive live viewing party at Smith & Wollensky, where guests gathered to witness the global unveiling of the new Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9. The evening concluded with a spectacular larger-than-life reveal of the Galaxy Z Fold8 at Menara LGM, lighting up the city’s skyline in celebration of Samsung’s latest foldable innovation.
“Galaxy Unpacked has always been one of Samsung’s biggest global moments, but this year marked something even more significant with the introduction of our all-new foldable form factor,” said Charles Kim, President of Samsung Malaysia Electronics.
“We wanted our guests in Malaysia to experience that excitement beyond the livestream by allowing them to interact with our latest innovations, immerse themselves in the stories behind them, and discover how the new Galaxy foldables complement different lifestyles and personalities.”
Guests, including members of the media, retail partners and content creators, explored immersive experience zones inspired by three distinct personas: The Bold Luxe, The Power Player, and The Social Curator.
Each zone highlighted a different foldable experience, with the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra catering to users who demand premium performance and luxury, the Galaxy Z Fold8 designed for productivity and multitasking, and the Galaxy Z Flip8 created for those who embrace style, creativity and self-expression.
Inspired by Samsung’s local campaign, “Let Your Fold Do the Talking,” the showcase demonstrated how a foldable smartphone can become an extension of one’s personality, reflecting confidence, ambition and individuality.
Adding a unique culinary experience to the event, Samsung collaborated with renowned food creator Mingchuun, who offered guests an exclusive preview of his upcoming restaurant, Gepuklah, ahead of its official opening. Attendees were among the first to sample the restaurant’s signature ayam gepuk, specially presented to reflect the sleek design and elegant silhouette of the new Galaxy Z Fold8.
