MILO® Malaysia Breakfast Day 2026 Draws Nearly 49,000 Participants Ahead of Grand Finale in Putrajaya
June 28, 2026MILO® Malaysia Breakfast Day 2026 continues to inspire healthier lifestyles across the country, attracting nearly 49,000 participants through its first five nationwide stops. The latest event in Kelantan welcomed approximately 10,000 participants, bringing together families, students and Malaysians of all ages to promote the importance of starting the day with a balanced breakfast and maintaining an active lifestyle.
Having already visited Sabah, Terengganu, Sarawak, Pahang and Kelantan, the nationwide campaign has continued to strengthen awareness of healthy breakfast habits while encouraging more Malaysians to embrace regular physical activity.
Inspiring Healthier Habits Among Young Malaysians
The Kelantan edition was held at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Health Campus, highlighting the important role young people play in building lifelong healthy routines. By bringing the event to a university campus, MILO® aimed to connect directly with students and encourage simple habits that support better energy, focus and overall well-being.
Teachers and educators were also recognised for their role in encouraging healthier lifestyles by promoting balanced nutrition and active living among students.
Professor Dato’ Dr. Shaiful Bahari Ismail, Campus Director of the Health Campus at Universiti Sains Malaysia Kelantan, said it was encouraging to see Malaysians from different generations coming together to embrace healthier lifestyles.
He noted that hosting the event at a university made it especially meaningful, as it allowed young adults to recognise how simple habits such as eating a nutritious breakfast and staying active can contribute to long-term well-being.
Small Habits That Make a Big Difference
With many students balancing demanding academic schedules and increasingly digital lifestyles, maintaining healthy daily routines can be challenging. Research has consistently shown that eating a nutritious breakfast helps improve energy levels, concentration and overall wellness, particularly for students preparing for a full day of learning.
Through Malaysia Breakfast Day, MILO® continues to encourage practical and sustainable habits that can begin at a young age and continue well into adulthood.
Inspiring Stories From Participants
One of the standout moments in Kelantan came from 13-year-old Mohd Syamil Hakim bin Mohd Sabri, who crossed the finish line first during the event.
The young athlete, who represented Kelantan at the MSSM Rugby Championship 2025, shared that he started his morning with a can of MILO®, which gave him the energy he needed for the run.
According to Syamil, breakfast is an essential part of his daily routine because it provides the energy needed to perform throughout the day, especially during sports and other physical activities.
Meanwhile, 21-year-old Universiti Sains Malaysia student Nadhirah Najwa participated alongside her friends from the School of Health Sciences. She described the event as a refreshing break from their busy academic schedule while serving as a reminder of the importance of making time for both a balanced breakfast and regular exercise.
Another USM student, Danish Bin Mohd Ridhwan Mahendran from the School of Medical Sciences, said MILO® reminds him of his childhood, recalling how his parents prepared a cup for him every morning before school. The memory continues to inspire him to begin each day on the right note.
The event also attracted participants from outside Kelantan. Yazli Yaakub, a 51-year-old Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) instructor from Putrajaya, returned for his second consecutive Malaysia Breakfast Day after participating in last year’s event.
Wearing a traditional Baju Melayu during the run, Yazli emphasised that staying active is important regardless of age. As an educator, he also encourages his students not to skip breakfast, believing that even a simple cup of MILO® can provide the energy and focus needed for both classroom learning and practical sessions.
Similarly, Roziah Binti Ismail, a lecturer at Kolej Matrikulasi Kelantan, highlighted the importance of breakfast for students with demanding academic schedules. She noted that a nutritious breakfast provides the energy and concentration needed to remain engaged throughout the day and welcomed initiatives like Malaysia Breakfast Day that promote healthier everyday habits.
Building a Healthier Malaysia
Through its nationwide campaign, MILO® continues to encourage Malaysians of all ages to adopt healthier breakfast habits and lead more active lifestyles. The initiative is further supported by the Nestlé for Healthier Kids (N4HK) programme, which promotes greater awareness of healthy choices that contribute to long-term well-being.
Grand Finale in Putrajaya
The MILO® Malaysia Breakfast Day 2026 journey will conclude with its grand finale in Putrajaya on 12 July 2026, where thousands more Malaysians are expected to gather for one final celebration of healthy living, balanced breakfast habits and community spirit.
Families, students and participants of all ages are invited to take part in the closing event, which promises an energetic morning filled with fun activities, meaningful experiences and a shared commitment to healthier lifestyles.
