Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Sets Nürburgring Record
June 11, 2025Xiaomi EV has achieved a historic milestone, with its Xiaomi SU7 Ultra production model officially setting the Fastest Electric Executive Vehicle record at the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife. Clocking a blistering lap time of 7:04.957 minutes, the SU7 Ultra conquered the 20.8km circuit on its very first attempt — firmly establishing itself as a new force in the high-performance EV segment.
This remarkable feat was made possible with the optional track package equipped, showcasing Xiaomi EV’s uncompromising dedication to performance engineering. The record-breaking lap time is a testament to the brand’s relentless pursuit of technological excellence, driven by its proprietary “three core electric technologies” — the electric motor, power battery, and motor control unit — alongside advanced chassis torque-vectoring and a refined aerodynamic design.
Unlike many record runs done with heavily modified test cars, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra that achieved this time is a production model, implementing track-proven engineering that mirrors the high-performance tri-motor layout from the prototype. Its powertrain, featuring two V8s and one V6s e-motors, produces a combined 1,548 PS, enabling astonishing acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.98 seconds (with one-foot rollout) and a top speed exceeding 350 km/h.
The Nürburgring Nordschleife, renowned as one of the most challenging racetracks in the world, is the ultimate testbed for cutting-edge automotive technology. The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra’s performance under such demanding, high-temperature and high-speed conditions reflects the brand’s commitment to engineering reliability, performance consistency, and safety at the highest level.
Further underscoring this commitment, Xiaomi EV has recently entered a strategic partnership with the Nürburgring, becoming a premium partner of the circuit. In recognition of this collaboration, a newly named “Xiaomi Curve” has been added to the Grand Prix track, marking Xiaomi’s presence in the heart of global motorsports innovation.
As a member of the Nürburgring’s Industry Pool for test and development drives, Xiaomi EV is now positioned to push the boundaries of EV development even further. By leveraging this long-term partnership, the company aims to refine next-generation electric technologies on the world’s most demanding track — setting new global benchmarks for electric vehicle performance.
