Sony Unveils GP-VPT3 Wireless Shooting Grip/Tripod
May 25, 2025Sony has introduced the GP-VPT3 Wireless Shooting Grip/Tripod and RMT-VP2 Remote Commander, both featuring Bluetooth® wireless technology and compatible with the Alpha™ Series and Vlog Camera Series.
GP-VPT3: Stable Shooting, Flexible Functionality
Designed for both stability and versatility, the GP-VPT3 supports cameras weighing up to 1.5kg. It serves as both a handheld shooting grip and a tripod, with an ergonomically designed body that enables one-handed operation of essential functions like zoom and focus — suitable for both left- and right-handed users.
- One-touch switching between self-portrait and standard shooting modes

RMT-VP2: Wireless Control Made Easy
The detachable remote commander features dedicated buttons for MOVIE, Zoom/Focus, and C1 (Custom) functions. It allows wireless camera control from up to 10 meters, ideal for group shots and reducing camera shake in low-light scenes.
Compatible with both Sony cameras and Xperia™ smartphones, the RMT-VP2 pairs without the need for cables or receivers, preserving the camera’s dust and moisture resistance.
