Expanding on the earlier 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB models, the new 8TB variant combines exceptional performance with massive storage to meet the needs of AI workloads, professional creators, and gamers.
Delivering sequential read and write speeds of up to 14,800 MB/s and 13,400 MB/s, the Samsung 9100 PRO 8TB offers unmatched responsiveness and reliability. It is engineered to handle next-generation applications such as AI model training, 8K video rendering, and AAA gaming, enabling users to process even the most demanding workloads with ease.
Breakthrough PCIe® 5.0 Performance
Powered by Samsung’s 8th-generation V-NAND and the advanced Presto controller, the 9100 PRO 8TB achieves up to 2,200K IOPS random read and 2,600K IOPS random write speeds — doubling sequential performance compared to the previous-generation 990 PRO. This makes it ideal for AI PCs, content creation, and high-performance gaming systems where speed and precision are critical.
Expanded Capacity and Efficiency
Despite its larger capacity and improved performance, the drive is up to 49% more power-efficient than its predecessor, thanks to a 5nm controller and optimized firmware. The 8TB heatsink variant, with its slim 11.25mm profile, ensures effective thermal management to prevent overheating — and is even compatible with PlayStation® 5, giving users more installation flexibility.
