The company is taking bookings starting today at all Honda dealerships in Malaysia, and the new model promises to live up to its slogan of “The Best Gets Better.”
The New City comes with a range of exciting updates that will undoubtedly uplift it in the B-Segment market. Customers can expect a stylish design, advanced features, and a powerful powertrain. The model is scheduled to be launched in Q3 2023 in Malaysia, generating considerable anticipation among car enthusiasts.

Since its launch, over 68,600 units of the 5th Generation City have been sold, and in the first half of 2023, more than 10,000 units found homes. Numerous exterior upgrades contribute to the sporty appearance of the New City RS, including a new Honeycomb Front Grille, Front Lower Grille, Rear Diffuser, Side Skirting, and a newly designed “RS” emblem. The 16-inch Dual-Tone Alloy Wheels further elevate the sporty and contemporary look.
Under the hood, the New City e:HEV RS is equipped with a robust 1.5L e:HEV powertrain. This powertrain combines two electric motors with an Electric Continuous Variable Transmission (e-CVT), offering an ideal balance of power and fuel efficiency. Generating a maximum output of 109PS and an impressive 253Nm torque, the New City boasts the most powerful torque in its class, equivalent to D-segment Naturally Aspirated engine torque.
