NESCAFÉ “Ngopi Dulu & Kekal Kental Bersama” to Celebrate Malaysian Resilience
October 2, 2025NESCAFÉ has introduced a new movement, “Ngopi Dulu & Kekal Kental Bersama” (“Have a Coffee First & Move Forward Together”), to honor and celebrate the everyday resilience of Malaysians. The campaign pays tribute to the nation’s strength, unity, and determination in facing life’s daily challenges.
At its heart is the belief that every Malaysian has a purpose — whether it’s providing for family, serving the community, or chasing personal dreams. What unites everyone is the shared spirit to kekal kental (stay strong) with tenacity, confidence, and perseverance.
To capture this spirit, NESCAFÉ has introduced the anthem “Kental Bersama”, performed by local artist Black Hanifah. The song celebrates Malaysia’s unwavering determination, highlighting perseverance, family values, and community spirit that hold the nation together in times of both triumph and adversity.
“NESCAFÉ has always been more than just coffee. It has stood alongside Malaysians through challenges and triumphs. With this initiative, we honor the resilience and passion that drive our journey as a nation. We invite everyone to join us in this collective movement of strength, unity, and hope,” said Juan Aranols, Chief Executive Officer of Nestlé Malaysia.
As part of the campaign, three inspiring Malaysians were featured in the “Kental Bersama” music video:
- Dr. Madhu (“Dr. Teddy Bear”) – known for his compassion, he spends evenings providing healthcare to the homeless in Kuala Lumpur.
- Kak Dell – a Grab driver and tuition teacher who continues to pursue her dream of becoming a writer.
- Black Hanifah – who draws inspiration from his humble beginnings and his devotion to family, which fuel his music and purpose.
Together, they reflect the diverse journeys and purposes of Malaysians, all bound by the same unbreakable spirit of resilience.
“The lyrics of ‘Kental Bersama’ capture the hustle and hopes we all share, whether striving for our families, serving our communities, or chasing our dreams. I’m honored to be part of a movement that unites Malaysians through music and coffee,” said Black Hanifah.
Alongside the campaign, NESCAFÉ also unveiled NESCAFÉ Triple Shot, its boldest coffee innovation yet. With a strong flavor and energizing boost, the new brew reflects the growing demand for more robust coffee among Malaysians.
