KAO Malaysia Launches Bioré GUARD Mos Block Serum

KAO Malaysia has announced the launch of its new Bioré GUARD Mos Block Serum, an innovative mosquito repellent designed to prevent mosquitoes from landing on the skin. This product is part of KAO’s global GUARD OUR FUTURE project, aimed at protecting future generations from mosquito-borne diseases like dengue fever.

Global and Local Initiatives

The GUARD OUR FUTURE project focuses on developing advanced product technologies to shield individuals from mosquito bites. Initially introduced in Thailand two years ago, the Bioré GUARD Mos Block Serum has recently been launched in Singapore, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Now, KAO Malaysia is expanding this initiative in collaboration with the Selangor State Government and Takeda Malaysia to combat dengue fever in Malaysia.

Addressing the Dengue Menace

Dengue fever remains a significant health issue in Malaysia and Southeast Asia, exacerbated by global warming and urbanization. In response, KAO Malaysia will donate over 61,000 units of Bioré GUARD Mos Block Serum, matching the number of active dengue cases in Selangor in 2023. This initiative will support various dengue prevention programs and community activities until June 2025.

Educational and Community Engagement

The Selangor State Government will implement educational workshops and community clean-up activities to raise awareness about dengue prevention. These efforts will be supported by the distribution of the Bioré GUARD Mos Block Serum, fostering a collaborative approach between the public and private sectors to enhance public health.

Advanced Mosquito Repellent Technology

The Bioré GUARD Mos Block Serum uses a unique anti-landing technology that repels mosquitoes without killing them. Unlike conventional repellents, this serum is non-greasy, has a light texture, and provides up to eight hours of protection. It will be available in two fragrances, Fresh Lavender and Sweet Blossom, at major pharmacies and retailers nationwide.
