
Alibaba.com Inaugural KEL Award to Recognize E-Commerce
July 5, 2024Alibaba.com, a premier global B2B e-commerce platform, has announced the launch of the inaugural Key E-commerce Leader Award (KEL Award) to recognize exceptional e-commerce suppliers in South and Southeast Asia.
Starting this week and continuing until November 2024, the KEL Award will feature Alibaba.com suppliers from seven countries – India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam – competing in national rounds from August to October. The top 10 performers from each national round will advance to the finale in Vietnam in November, where the three most outstanding contestants will be crowned KEL Award winners.
Contestants will demonstrate how they use Alibaba.com to develop and expand their export ventures and the strategies they employ to distinguish themselves in the global market. The evaluations will focus on the content and creativity of their presentations, communication effectiveness, personal brand portrayal, understanding of the Alibaba.com platform, and skill in answering questions and inspiring others in the e-commerce community.
The competition is open to owners, key personnel, and managers of companies selling on Alibaba.com with a minimum rating of two stars and an active presence on the platform for at least six months.
The KEL Award aims to bring together top suppliers across the region to foster mutual learning and engagement. It provides a platform for participants to enhance their influence within Alibaba.com’s global community of buyers and suppliers, increasing their visibility and opening up collaborative opportunities.
Contestants will have the opportunity to access expert-led training sessions from Alibaba.com to enhance their operational proficiency on the platform and develop essential leadership, public speaking, and team management skills.
Outstanding suppliers will receive exclusive benefits, including enhanced product showcase slots and keyword advertising bonuses to boost their product exposure on Alibaba.com. The top three contestants will also win a sponsored “Dream Trip” to Alibaba.com’s headquarters in Hangzhou, China. All winners from the national rounds will be appointed as Alibaba.com lecturers, gaining opportunities to share their insights and experiences with other suppliers in South and Southeast Asia.
