OPPO A7 Pro Series 5G Arrives in Malaysia with Up to 10,000mAh Battery
September 23, 2026OPPO is expanding its A Series in Malaysia with the launch of the OPPO A7 Pro 5G and OPPO A7 Pro Max 5G, bringing together large-capacity batteries, AI-powered cameras, high-refresh-rate AMOLED displays and features designed to keep the phones running smoothly over the long term.
The biggest difference between the two models is battery capacity, with the A7 Pro 5G packing an 8,000mAh battery, while the A7 Pro Max 5G takes things further with a massive 10,000mAh battery.
Both models are also designed with durability and long-term everyday use in mind, including up to IP69K water and dust resistance and military-grade shock resistance.
Nature-Inspired Design Meets AMOLED Displays
The OPPO A7 Pro 5G comes with a 3D Wave Texture design that creates a layered visual effect when light hits the rear panel.
It is available in Surfing Blue, Shine Titanium and Bloom Pink, with a soft gradient finish and horizontal camera design.
On the front is a 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 92.8% screen-to-body ratio and up to 1,400 nits peak brightness.
The A7 Pro Max 5G gets a larger 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED Ultra Bright display, also with a 120Hz refresh rate, but pushes brightness up to 1,800 nits.
OPPO says the display delivers around 30% finer detail than the previous generation, making text sharper and visuals more detailed.
The A7 Pro Max 5G is available in Surfing Blue and Lunar Black, with a 17.7-degree curved camera deco and an integrated Multi-Color Breathing Light that can be customised for visual notifications.
50MP Cameras with AI Features
Both smartphones are built around a 50MP camera experience, including a 50MP Ultra-Wide AI Zoom Selfie Camera with a 100-degree field of view.
For group selfies, the AI Auto Wide Angle Switch can recognise how many people are in the frame and automatically switch between 1x and 0.6x zoom.
The Natural Tone feature is designed to produce more natural-looking colours and skin tones while maintaining skin texture.
The A7 Pro 5G also features an upgraded 1/2-inch CMOS main sensor, which OPPO says can capture 70% more light than its predecessor for improved low-light photography.
The A7 Pro Max 5G steps up with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), AI Night Mode and additional image optimisation. It also comes with a rear Power Flash for situations where extra illumination is needed.
For users who enjoy editing directly on their phone, OPPO has included several AI tools:
- AI Portrait Glow recommends four adjustable lighting modes.
- AI Popout lets subjects visually break out of the photo frame.
- AI Remix Collage combines photos and animated stickers for personalised creations.
Built for Everyday Smoothness
Under the hood, the two phones take different approaches.
The A7 Pro 5G is powered by the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6360 MAX Mobile Platform, delivering around a 10% overall performance boost compared with the previous generation.
It also combines the NetworkBoost Chip S1, AI LinkBoost 4.0, AI GameBoost 3.0 and a 4,300mm² Glacier VC Vapour Chamber to support connectivity, gaming and thermal management.
The A7 Pro Max 5G moves to the 4nm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 Mobile Platform, with a focus on power efficiency and thermal management.
It gets a larger 5,000mm² SuperCool VC system, while its Dual-Chip Smoothness Enhancements combine the NetworkBoost Chip S1 with a dedicated Touch Response Chip for faster and more precise multi-finger interaction.
Both models use OPPO’s Adaptive Scheduling Architecture and Collaborative Memory Scheduling to manage system resources and support smoother multitasking.
The series has also passed OPPO’s 6-year smoothness testing, with ColorOS Smoothness Boost providing ongoing system-level improvements through OTA updates.
8,000mAh or 10,000mAh — Battery Is a Major Highlight
Battery life is one of the biggest selling points of the new A7 Pro Series.
The A7 Pro 5G packs an 8,000mAh battery designed to retain more than 80% of its rated capacity after 2,000 full charge cycles. OPPO positions this around a six-year lifespan and the phone also supports reverse wired charging.
The A7 Pro Max 5G goes even further with a 10,000mAh ultra-thin battery.
It is designed to retain more than 80% capacity after 1,500 full charge cycles over a six-year lifespan. When it does need charging, 80W SUPERVOOC Flash Charge can fully replenish the battery in approximately 91 minutes.
For users who spend long hours away from a charger, stream frequently, game on their phone or simply want more battery headroom throughout the day, the capacity is one of the most notable aspects of the A7 Pro Series.

OPPO is also focusing on durability, with both devices offering up to IP69K water and dust resistance alongside military-grade shock resistance.
This gives the A7 Pro Series additional protection against the bumps, dust and water exposure that can come with everyday use.

The OPPO A7 Pro 5G starts from RM1,699 and comes in Surfing Blue, Shine Titanium and Bloom Pink.

The OPPO A7 Pro Max 5G comes with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and is priced at RM2,499, with Surfing Blue and Lunar Black colour options.
