DHL Supply Chain Expands in Malaysia with High-Tech Penang Logistics Hub 5

Spanning 22,000 square meters, this modern warehouse is strategically located in the Bayan Lepas Free Industrial Zone, just minutes from Penang International Airport.
Cutting-Edge Automation & Innovation
DHL Supply Chain invested €30 million in building the facility, with an additional €12 million dedicated to advanced robotic automation. The hub is equipped with next-generation automated systems, including:
🔹 Automated Case-handling Mobile Robots (ACR) – A first-of-its-kind deployment in DHL Supply Chain globally, using mobile robotics technology for tote retrieval.
🔹 Goods-to-Person Robotics (GTPR) – Mobile robots efficiently store and retrieve bins from a rack storage system.
🔹 Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) – Enhancing operational speed and accuracy.
🔹 Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) – Boosting productivity and streamlining logistics operations.

✔ Superflat flooring to optimize warehouse flexibility and airspace efficiency.
