Behind the Scenes With Corning® Gorilla® Armor

Samsung Electronics has released a new video showing how they make Corning® Gorilla® Armor, a special glass for the Galaxy S24 Ultra that’s resistant to scratches and glare.

The video highlights Corning Incorporated’s advanced technology, showcasing the clear display and strong durability of Corning® Gorilla® Armor.

To make this glass, they use a precise process where they add special ions in really thin layers, each thinner than a human hair. This makes the display tough and reduces glare by up to 75%, making it easier to see in bright light.

This glass is tough, protecting the Galaxy S24 Ultra from everyday damage. In tests, it proved to be over four times more scratch-resistant than other types of display glass.

Corning makes this glass in a super clean environment using advanced technology, similar to how Samsung makes semiconductors.
