Huawei Malaysia is expanding its ecosystem with the introduction of two new devices — the HUAWEI MatePad Mini and the HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2 — each designed to deliver performance and versatility in compact, purpose-driven forms. Together, they reflect Huawei’s push toward smarter, more connected experiences that fit seamlessly into everyday life.

At the centre of the launch is the HUAWEI MatePad Mini, a compact tablet built around the “All-in-Mini” concept. Measuring just 5.2mm thin and weighing approximately 260g, it is designed for portability without compromising on capability. Its 16:10 aspect ratio, inspired by the feel of a printed book, ensures a natural experience whether users are working, reading or consuming content in portrait or landscape mode.

Despite its slim profile, the device is reinforced with aerospace-grade materials, providing durability for daily use. The 8.8-inch Flexible OLED PaperMatte Display enhances both immersion and comfort, offering 2.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of up to 1800 nits. Combined with Huawei’s X-True display technology and PaperMatte eye protection, the screen reduces glare while maintaining clarity, making it ideal for extended usage.

The MatePad Mini is also designed to integrate seamlessly within Huawei’s ecosystem, enabling smooth multi-device collaboration across workflows. Enhanced note-taking features and stylus support further boost productivity, especially with the HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro, which introduces intuitive gestures and quick-access controls for a more fluid writing and creative experience. The tablet is powered by a 6400mAh battery with 66W SuperCharge, alongside a 50MP rear camera and 32MP front camera for versatile imaging.

Complementing the tablet is the HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2, a smartwatch engineered specifically for runners under the concept of the “Aesthetic of Speed.” Built with a lightweight 34.5g body using aerospace-grade titanium alloy, it balances durability with comfort for long-distance use.

The smartwatch features Huawei’s most advanced multi-system GNSS technology, supported by a 3D floating antenna design that enhances signal accuracy even in complex environments such as urban areas or forest trails. Paired with the X-DR positioning algorithm, it ensures consistent and reliable tracking throughout every run.

A standout feature is its Intelligent Marathon Mode, developed in collaboration with elite athletes including Eliud Kipchoge. This mode provides end-to-end support, from personalised training plans and real-time pacing guidance to detailed post-run analysis. Runners can track endurance, adjust pace dynamically and receive insights to improve performance over time, making training more structured and data-driven.

Beyond running, the WATCH GT Runner 2 offers over 100 sports modes and advanced metrics such as running power, lactate threshold and Running Ability Index. Combined with accurate heart rate monitoring and up to 14 days of battery life, it serves as both a performance tool and an everyday companion.

In Malaysia, the HUAWEI MatePad Mini is priced at RM2,199, with pre-order customers receiving a bundle of complimentary gifts worth up to RM2,014, including accessories and extended service benefits. Meanwhile, the HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2 is available at RM1,499, offering a comprehensive package for users seeking precision tracking and intelligent fitness insights.

With these latest additions, Huawei continues to refine its approach to connected devices, focusing on portability, performance and real-world usability across both productivity and fitness.
