DJI Unveils Osmo Action 6: A Groundbreaking Action Camera

DJI’s First Variable Aperture Action Camera
The Osmo Action 6 introduces DJI’s first-ever variable aperture system (f/2.0–f/4.0), providing creators with precise control over exposure and enhanced performance in low-light conditions. Paired with a custom 1/1.1-inch square CMOS sensor and 2.4 μm large pixels, users can expect a significant improvement in clarity, detail, and dynamic range.
During field tests across Hong Kong — from colourful street scenes to island adventures and Ngong Ping 360 views — the camera swiftly adapted to shifting lighting conditions.
Key new enhancements include:
- Adjustable-aperture design up to f/2.0 for improved low-light scenes
- Auto Mode, which optimizes aperture instantly for different environments
- Starburst Mode, creating dramatic star-shaped effects from point light sources
Optional lenses unlock creative possibilities:
- Macro Lens – cuts the focusing distance from 35 cm to 11 cm
- FOV Boost Lens – expands FOV from 155° to a super-immersive 182°

- 4K/120fps recording in 4:3

With its wide aperture and improved noise reduction, SuperNight mode captures clean, vibrant 4K/60fps night footage. Combined with 10-bit D-Log M, the Osmo Action 6 preserves highlight and shadow detail with real-time preview.
